Rules

When your car is entered it will be assigned an entry number and class at the registration table. The registrar reserves the right to make judgments on class. Contestants may NOT class their own cars.

Anyone who has placed three times in first place in any custom car contest (National, ECHW, SNEHW) will be entered into the Pro category. Additionally, anyone not meeting this criteria may voluntarily enter into the Pro class.

  • Mild
In any class, a mild custom is allowed only a repaint and wheel change. No modification to the original casting may be made. Detail - headlights, taillights, interior, undercarriage, etc. - is VERY important for maximum points.
  • Spicy
In any class, NO cutting of the die cast can occur. Additions of spoilers, hood scoops, fender skirts, motor change, are allowed, as are a paint and wheel change. NOTE: DRILLING MAY OCCUR IN THIS CLASS - SO LONG AS THE HOLES DRILLED ARE FILLED WITH A MODIFICATION. Ex - A hole may be drilled in order to attach a hood scoop. Any modifications not deemed in this class may (at the judge's discretion) be bumped to wild. As always, detail is important for maximum points.
  • Wild
In any class, anything goes - cutting, chopping, use your imagination. Detail and quality are, of course, important for maximum points.
  • Sets
Consist of 2 or 3 vehicles done in any of the three categories above. All vehicles will be judge for total points.
  • Large Scale
Any car larger than 1:64 scale may be shown; however, at this time no judging will occur.
  • Diorama
Any diorama may be shown, provided there is table space available; however, at this time no judging will occur.
  • Children's
Children must be under 12 years of age to participate. Contestants may have help to drill apart the casting, but must do their own paint, body detail work. As with all entries, children will be expected to be able to list all modifications done to the custom. Please be honest!

  • OPEN INVITATIONAL FOR THE ROANOKE TOY SHOW
The special class for the Roanoke Toy Show us an "aircraft" class. Any aircraft casting (Madd Propz, Poison Arrow, Fast Fortress, Blimp, Jet Threat, etc.) is eligible for this contest. As usual, there is no charge for the Open Invitational.
