Star City Hot Wheels Born!

The first official meeting of the Star City Hot Wheels club was held last night Thursday, April 27, 2006 at member Fred Shanks home. The club converged, caravan style, upon the home of Fred and Mary at 6:30 pm. The couple accepted the inevitable when Fred was handed a sample custom car already baring the new club’s logo; Star City Hot Wheels was going to exist and resistance was futile.

The club discussed future events and meetings and plan on meeting in two weeks on Wednesday, May 10, 2006. The President of the Central Virginia chapter of the East Coast Hot Wheels Club, Carl Crawford, stated he would attend the upcoming meeting. According to Carl, the downhill racing track will be present at our show.

Meanwhile, member Tim Whitlock has called New Life Temple Church, and the upcoming summer show will be held on either July 22 or July 29. The final decision on the date will be determined by the pastor of the church. The finalized date will be available on Monday.

Star City Hot Wheels Website Debut

According to member Amber Whitlock, members should expect an initial version of the website to be up and running the evening of Sunday, April 30, 2006. The website will feature news about the upcoming show, a forum, membership information, and information about upcoming meetings. Visit the website Sunday night to check it out!
