Star City Hot Wheels Show Information

The show date has been confirmed for July 29, 2006. We’re still hoping that the ECHW track will be brought up from North Carolina. There will be races, a customized car show, and goodies for the kids. We are looking for donations for prizes for the raffle. We hope everyone associated with the Star City Branch and ECHW is as excited about this show as we are and will plan on attending! We have lots of prizes in store!

Collector Corner

Billy “Chew” Harris has been a Hot Wheels collector for over thirty years. His collection numbers over 2,000 (does anybody know exactly how many cars they have?). He loves to customize and create dioramas. He is a dirt track lover. Be sure to check out his room-sized diorama and collection display in the photo gallery of the website.

SCHW Meeting

The last meeting of the Star City Branch was held on Wednesday, May 24, 2006. We had a conference call with ECHW Board of Directors member Rick, to discuss our concerns about rule changes made to the custom car show that may affect our show.

The next meeting will be an open session on Thursday, June 8, 2006. We will be finalizing the plans for the show with members outside of the core group who have expressed an interest in helping to plan for the show.

Any one who has donations for the club raffle, please bring these to this meeting, because we are starting to gather and organize these items.
