SCHW Fall Trade Show

Just a reminder to everyone that SCHW’s Fall Trade, Swap and Sale will be held TOMORROW October, 7, 2006, from 5pm – 8pm at Happy’s Flea Market. The show was arranged by SCHW and Auto Toy Exchange. Come to hang out with other collectors and get those variations you missed at K-Day! There will be door prizes!

If you are attending, remember to enter through the side door of Happy’s as the front doors will be locked after 5 pm.

Halloween Custom Car Contest

Another reminder about an upcoming event! Auto Toy Exchange and SCHW are holding a Custom Car Contest. All entries should be Halloween themed/related, and other than that there are NO restrictions. The cars are due at Auto Toy Exchange October 20, 2006, and will be on display there until October 29. Winners will be voted on by the public and will be announced on October 29 @ 3 pm.

ANYONE who lives out of town who would like to participate can mail their entry or entries. They will be mailed back at the end of the contest. If you are interested in doing this email starcityhotwheels@cox.net, for an address to send to.

Next Meeting

Our next meeting will be Saturday, October 7, 2006 at the Fall Trade Show at Happy’s Flea Market.

K-Day

K-Day was a smashing success for all of our members. We had several members who found variations, including the Torpedo Jones with 3-razors, lace, and 5 spoke wheels, and the blue Corvette C6 with tinted and clear windows. If you found a variation be sure to post it in our Variations Forums!

Calling ALL Members!

You may have noticed that since I (Amber) started school there have been FAR fewer newsletters written. This is partly because I’ve been very busy with school (I’m on a two day fall break now, and was able to work in writing this one), and partly because I’ve run out of ideas for what to write.

Mary asked if I would like her to write articles for the newsletter, and I’d like to respond with a whole-hearted YES! In fact, if anyone would like to write an article, or even has an idea for an article they’d like to see, please talk to me or send an email. Send all suggestions/completed articles to starcityhotwheels@cox.net as a text e-mail or Microsoft Word attachment. Don’t be afraid to submit if you aren’t the greatest at spelling or grammar! I’ll edit before I publish!

Also, if you have pictures you’d like to see in the newsletter, send those as well. I am going to be working on a new format for the newsletter that will allow us to include pictures.
